Granite Hills Group/BR Snow Alert-Action Planned- 2/22-23rd
Dear Granite Hills Group / Blade Runners Snow Client:
Update on Sunday's Storm... An initial rain / snow mix is still on track to arrive late tonight into Sunday morning. Coming off a warm afternoon today and marginal temperatures above freezing tomorrow, impacts from this initial mix will be minimal. There may be dustings on colder surfaces, but pavements will be wet or melt right back, especially when precip is mainly rain. Then, the main part of this system will really ramp up late day Sunday and into evening / night. This is when the most impactful accumulations will occur, as heavier snow after sunset will be able to cover much easier, with plowable totals by Monday AM. Snow will be heaviest through midnight, trending lighter into the predawn and Monday morning before ending. Increasing winds Sunday night and Monday will also lead to some blowing snow.
Based on this most recent forecast showing the possibility of 3-6" of snow to our area. At this time our plans are:
DO NOT PLAN a pre-treatment application Ice Control Treatment BEFORE the event - because this event looks to start as rain.
WHAT WE PLAN TO DO:
We WILL BE clearing Roadways and sidewalks within the current scope of your contract. This will start late Sunday (2.22.26) and / or early Monday Morning (2.23.26) and continue all day Monday.
We WILL BE doing a POST Treatment of Ice Control after the clearing.
This event looks to be all snow, with below freezing night time temps, so nothing like the January event, but we have also worked on additional equipment needs as we tackle this event.
